Amaco Velvet Underglaze V345 Light Green 59ml is a lead free opaque underglaze whic has the rich textural appearance of velvet when left unglazed.

A truly versatile product, you can achieve a number of finishes with Amaco Velvets.

Left unglazed, they take on the velvet appearance they are known for, and when glazed with clear transparent glazes, the colours will intensify and take on the properties of the applied glaze - whether that is a satin, matte or gloss finish etc.

Saturated, and true to colour out of the jar, Amaco Velvets are easy to use and dependable. They fire true to colour as a Cone 05/06 underglaze or when fired to Cone 6. Some colours even remain true as high as Cone 10.

Amaco Velvets can be applied to unfired clay, greenware or bisque. Used with or without glazes. They can be mixed with other colours. Are dinnerware safe when glazed with food safe glazes, and can also be applied using a spray or airbrush application.

Firing Range: Cone 05/06 - Cone 10

Food Safety: AP Non-Toxic Food Safe/Dinnerware Safe when glazed with food safe glazes.

Very easy to smoothly apply and is excellent with colour and velvet surface at lower temperatures. High fires much greyer and darker under clear glaze but doesn't survive on its own in high fire.
