*Although Cress 1814 kilns are capable of reaching Cone 10, continuous firing to this temperature will reduce the lifespan of the elements. For potters requiring ongoing high firing temperatures we would recommend a three phase kiln. Alternatively, there are many types of clay with lower firing temperatures.
*Please be advised that standard 3-pin domestic power outlets/sockets are rated at 10Amps, and are not suitable for the 20Amp plug that comes with this kiln. If you do not have an existing 20Amp power socket for your new kiln, please consult an electrician for installation options.
