Kiln Furniture Kits consist of posts and shelves in various configurations depending on the size of the kiln.
Posts are used to bring the shelf off the floor of the kiln as well as to separate shelving within the kiln. A range of post lengths are available to accomodate various shelf height requirements.
Multi sided kiln shelves are particularly suited to top loading kilns when used in conjunction with a range of kiln post sizes will ensure the best use of kiln space. A tip: rotate each level of shelving 180 degrees from the last to improve stability.
Kiln wash is applied to kiln shelves to lengthen the life and help protect them from accidental glaze drips. On a kiln shelf that has been kiln washed, drips can be easily removed without gouging or marring the kiln shelf.
Bell Stilts have fine quality metal alloy points embedded in a stoneware base. They virtually leave no mark on fired pieces and are easily loosened after firing.
