How to reconstitute clay

Whether you've got large amounts or just a single dried out bag. Don’t fret over dried out clay!

Here are some simple to follow instructions to reconstitute your dried out clay two ways.

For large amounts of clay it is typically best to:
1.    Let the clay dry fully
2.    Crush it into as small pieces as possible
3.    Then let it soak down in water
4.    Let settle for a week
5.    Dump off excess water
6.    Mix in a clay mixer or blend with a glaze paddle mixer till smooth 
7.    Than dry on plaster wedging table till desired wedging consistency

For a few bags that just need to be softened:

1.    Put 125ml (½ cup) of water in clay bag
2.    Fill 18L bucket about half way
3.    Put clay bag in water make sure water in bucket comes over the edge of the block of clay
4.    Close bag let sit for 24 hours should be soft
5.    If not, simply repeat with 60ml (¼ cup) of water
