Create visual excitement in your work with Mayco's Ritual Melt Gloop glaze collection. Make dramatic drips, dimensional dots, and flowing organic textures unlike those achieved with traditional stoneware glazes.

Melt Gloop is a specialty stoneware glaze developed to create raised dots, flowing drips, and sculptural surface effects on ceramic pieces. Unlike conventional glazes that are brushed onto the entire surface, Melt Gloop is applied using a syringe or squeeze bottle, giving artists precise control over placement and design. During firing, the glaze softens and moves, creating dynamic textures and eye-catching movement across the ceramic surface.
The collection is available in a range of vibrant colours, making it easy to create bold contemporary designs or playful decorative accents.

Designed for Texture and Movement
Mayco's Melt Gloop has the unique ability to transform simple applications into dramatic visual effects during firing. Apply small dots for decorative patterns, or build glaze layers that melt and flow downward, creating natural drip effects. The glaze can even travel across textured surfaces, enhancing relief details and adding another layer of visual complexity.

The Gloop glaze has an exceptionally thick consistency and should be stirred thoroughly before applying. Lightly dampening the bisque surface with a sponge can improve adhesion and help ensure successful application. For the best results, use a ceramic glaze syringe or applicator bottle to apply the product where you want texture to appear.
Multiple Melt Gloop colours can be layered or marbled together to create vibrant visual effects. Apply the first application and wait for it to lose its glossy appearance before adding another colour helps maintain definition while encouraging beautiful colour interactions during firing.
Ritual glazes maintain their dimensional quality when applied over underglazes and stoneware engobes. Bisque firing the underglaze or engobe before applying Melt Gloop is recommended for best adhesion and performance.
Firing Temperatures Cone 5-10 (2167°F-2345°F / 1186°C-1285°C).
Melt Gloop offers a way to achieve dramatic effects without complicated glaze chemistry. The ability to create controlled drips, raised dots, flowing movement, and colourful layered textures opens new creative possibilities for ceramic artists in all fields.
