The Tropical Fern Planter Earthenware Bisque is
covered in embossed fern leaves. Paint
in the leaves on this planter with your
favorite glaze colours, or use the antiquing
technique for a trendy weathered look.
This planter has a drainage hole and
comes with a plug as well. Perfect project if you have a short class time or running a studio group PYOP session.

- Wipe down the planter with a clean sponge.
- Paint the outside surface of the planter, including the bottom surface, with 2-3 coats of Mayco Elements Foliage Green. Let your piece dry completely.
- Using a liner or script brush, paint the fern leaves and stems with 2-3 coats of Mayco Elements Holiday Green. Let your piece dry completely.
- Use a large square brush or fan brush to paint the inside of the planter with 2-3 coats of Mayco Elements Sahara Sands.
- Pour a small amount of Sahara Sands onto your palette. Dip the bristles of a toothbrush or similar into the color. Angle your toothbrush towards the planter's surface, then run your finger or thumb along the bristles to splatter glaze on the planter.
- Allow the project to dry completely, then fire to cone 06.
