*Although Cress 1814 kilns are capable of reaching Cone 10, continuous firing to this temperature will reduce the lifespan of the elements. For potters requiring ongoing high firing temperatures we would recommend a three phase kiln. If 3-phase power is not available, the Cress ET18 kiln is a suitable alternative as it has high-fire elements.
*Please be advised that standard 3-pin domestic power outlets/sockets are rated at 10Amps, and are not suitable for the 20Amp plug that comes with this kiln. If you do not have an existing 20Amp power socket for your new kiln, please consult an electrician for installation options.

I Waited a long time for Ceramicraft to get this in stock (due to shipping problems) but it was worth the wait. She (has to be a she) is so easy to operate and just the right size for me and my occasional potter friends.

It's my first kiln and was very nervous about using it but it's more simple than using an oven , I love it , I actually wish I'd bought the bigger one . It's so easy to put in your own programe. Definitely a good buy

Been using this type of kiln since starting ceramic work about 25 years now. on my 3rd kiln now and have found it to be very reliable. Only down side is that the lid brace rusts very quickly and gradually falls apart

I've had this kiln for over a year. Its simple to use. fires to cone 6 quite nicely. Recommend if your short on space and don't make huge things.

I have an E1814 (51L) and it’s brilliant. So reliable, decent size when used with the right kiln furniture. I can do 4-5 shelves worth of work if I pack it right. Fired 150 times at mid-fire before even slight signs of needs element replacement.
Now at 180 and no other signs of wear and tear at all since replacing elements. Never had any other errors ever. Ceramicraft offer excellent support too. They’re just really reliable, efficient little machines. An absolute dream for the self taught ceramicist!

Just wanted to say a big thankyou for the great service & support I have received from everyone at Cerami Craft.
The kiln arrived safely in Cairns (which in itself is pretty amazing having travelled half way around the world!) & I’m very happy to say, after your helpful tips to get me started, it works perfectly.
The kiln as promised is as easy as using a microwave & I'm having a lot of fun using it.
