The North Star Solid Coil Die Set contains three large 6" dies made from 3/4 inch thick machined HDPE Polyethylene Plastic Dies which are not susceptible to rust or oxidation.
This die set is suited for use in North Star's Big Blue Extruder and includes the following 6" Dies.
Set includes the following 6" Dies:
- 981A - 1 3/4" Solid Coil Die
- 981B - 1 1/4" Solid Coil Die
- 981C - 3/4" Solid Coil Die
In general, the walls of extrusions 3-1/2 inches OD or less are 1/4 inch thick, while larger pieces have 5/16 inch walls.
All dies have Counter-Sinking around the edges or where the brace passes through the extrusion.
This is to add in healing of hollow shapes and give even pressure around the opening.
